This year I celebrated a traditional American Thanksgiving in Amsterdam with friends, warmth, and lots and lots of food! I was lucky enough to share my apartment with Eric Johlin, Briana Xu, Alexei Halpin, Melanie Clarke, Teelkien van Veen, Benjamin Brenny, Jorik van de Groep, and Wendy Couperus. Couldn't ask for a better crew with whom to celebrate (or prepare food)!

The menu included turkey roasted over beer (obviously). American-style bacon. Mushroom chestnut cranberry tart. Turkey and chicken gravy. Mashed potatoes. Tossed salad. Cranberry pomegranate dressing. Brussels sprouts. Corn bread. Baked mushroom stuffing. Pumpkin pie. Everything was made from scratch, and nearly everything was both gluten free and vegetarian.

For drinks we had many Scottish whiskies, special beers, oaked rum, and mulled apple cider. These were accompanied by cigars and turkey hats.
